Happy Birthday, Trixie~
Pretty much how I’ve been feeling lately… Figured drawing something might help vent some of the sad.
Edit: I might as well include the reasoning behind this as well since I’ve seen a few people asking. Basically, my best friend I’ve probably ever had and talked to extensively every single day for over a year now for the most part had to move recently. Due to their own situation, they are unable to actually pay for a new place to live until at least the beginning of June so they’re living with family and due to further issues, their availability has become severely limited. What was once a damn near constant influence and source of happiness in my life has dwindled to a few text messages or a short skype conversation at night and I guess I just feel lost without that now. I know it’s only a temporary thing but a month or possibly more is a long time…
AnonymousMmm, no. I dont think I will be ashamed of what I did. That picture is hardly any sort of ‘circlejerk’ because it was not prompted by any of the people featured in the picture, nor do I expect any of them to respond to it with more than a like and possibly a reblog. There were many options in my head as to what to do for a milestone picture and I specifically chose not to draw any of my ‘famous’ followers. I also made a conscious choice not to hold some sort of contest to be featured in the picture because honestly, it would have been even more of an issue with people feeling left out, despite doing a random drawing. And so, the best option I was left with was to celebrate the good friends who I communicate with on a regular basis outside of Tumblr, whom I would never have met without having made my own blog. Was it a little selfish to include my modpony in the picture as well? Sure, probably, but her creation was a direct result of the influence of one of the very special people I’ve met along the way here. So, no. I will not feel shame or bad about who I chose to include in that picture. I appreciate all the people who are following me and supporting me but these people have stood out above the rest to become very close friends of mine.
I figured that instead of including a bunch of the Tumblr famous people who follow me for my 3k milestone picture, I’d include some of the best people I’ve met in the little time I’ve been around here. They’ve been my encouragement and inspiration and I am honored to call each and every one of them a good friend (with the exception of Terra, who is me and I of course am my own friend, though I wouldn’t have created Terra as a character if not for Tumblr.)
